Safety Equipment

Our up-to-date fleet of vehicles are equipped with necessary children’s safety equipment for each transfer. When booking, we ask the age of your children, and ensure the required seating is ready for when we arrive.

  • Forward-Facing Baby Seat
  • Reverse-Facing Baby Seat
  • Booster Seats

All seats meet inspection and safety standards to ensure all transfers with Newcastle Connections are of high welfare principles.

Travel Insurance

We recommend that all members of your travel party are insured before leaving for your holiday. Many Insurance companies offer great family discounts, so be sure to shop around. Insurance can come in very handy if a family member falls ill or has a nasty accident while away from home.

Packing Tips for Minors

All Airlines and Cruise ships will have varied baggage restrictions, we recommend knowing these before packing for yourself and your children. Luckily, Newcastle Connections don’t charge additional luggage fees when it comes to any passengers under 16 years of age. Travelling with strollers and prams are subject to change with particular airlines, though we can easily cater to this extra luggage. Some airlines offer additional assistance with getting around the terminals and aircrafts, so be sure to call in advance to set this up.

Children Travelling Alone

Just like most major Airlines, Newcastle Connections considers any person under the age of 16 years travelling alone as an unaccompanied minor. When a situation arises where the child must travel without a parent or guardian, we ensure all precautions are taken seriously for their comfort and safety. Our Bookings Team run through additional information when taking a booking of this nature and have a close contact relationship with the guardian of the travelling child.

An additional charge does come into effect when a child is travelling alone. As is law, our driver must accompany them to their gate to ensure their safety throughout the entire transfer.

Whilst travelling with a guardian or parent, children usually only require their passport and appropriate entry visa. Though if travelling solo, your child may need to also have documentary evidence suitable to the country of travel. Follow this link to see what your child may require.
